For Van Velthooven Horeca Groep, we had the pleasure of creating the complete interior styling for Barra GioDio, a new restaurant and hospitality destination in Hilversum, the Netherlands. The interior design was created by King Kongs, with our role focused on the interior styling, material expression and finishing touches that bring the concept to life.

Mediterranean hospitality with an Italian heart

The starting point for GioDio is the Mediterranean, with Italy at its heart. The restaurant interior brings together a bold mix of historical and cultural influences, combining Baroque grandeur, Art Deco glamour and Renaissance references.

Rather than following one defined interior style, we deliberately created a collision of influences. a mix of artworks, mirrors, expressive wall panels and carefully selected decorative elements create a layered and distinctive restaurant interior.

The result is an atmosphere that feels warm, theatrical and slightly extravagant, a space designed to make an impression.
